Nearly 80 riders battled a strong south wind last night in the third race of the Tompkins Elkhart Time Trial Series. Derek Cassady (Bikes 2 You) came away with his second win of the series, laying down a 16:46.7 and narrowly beating out Jared Bernstein (Thrive) by just five seconds. Carol Lewnau (Colorbiotics) took the women’s win with a 19:29.4.
